Gav and Letty, our new tenants, will be hosting a Welcome party on Saturday 4 May from 7 pm onwards.
This is an opportunity for Gav and Letty to introduce themselves and meet the villagers and the club members.
The evening will include a family disco, buffet and of course drinks at club prices!

Sellindge and District Bowls Club - Free Coaching sessions -
The Sellindge Bowls Club will
be holding open days if you would like to try bowling. These
complimentary sessions will take place every Sunday in May (5th, 12th,
19th and 26th) at 10 am.
Come along to the bowls
club which is located in the grounds of Sellindge Sports and Social club, 69
Swan Lane, Sellindge.
Bowling at Sellindge is for any one over the
age of 13 (anyone under the age of 16 should be accompanied by an adult).
Equipment will be provided – all we ask is you wear flat, smooth sold shoes. If

Social Club will be holding its AGM in the Clubhouse at 7:30pm (for an 8pm
start) on Monday 25th March and would like to invite all villagers to attend.

AGM will include the election of the Club Committee - anyone interested in

Saturday 3rd November - to raise money for a new Children's play area.

Gates open at 6pm, fireworks after 7pm. There will be food, stalls, entertainment and a licensed bar available.

22 August - Wednesday - 5pm - Mini Zumba Tronic - Free taster Session - Ages 8 years and upwards - Boys and Girls
Our Mini Zumba Tronic instructor, Nicola Murphy, will be running a free taster session
on Wednesday 22nd August 2012 at 5 pm to demonstrate the kind of moves and
routines expected in these classes. I expect for some the free session
may coincide with holidays but don't worry if you can't make this session, as
the classes will start properly from 4th September (see September 2012 below)
A bit about Nicola, the Instructor!
Nicola has a wealth of experience bringing these sessions to primary and senior
school in the area so we believe the children will have a fab time!

Community
representatives from the Village Hall, Sports and Social Club etc have
joined forces to host a Jubilee celebration for the Village on Bank
Holiday Tuesday 5 June 2012. The theme for this complimentary day is the
1950's so please feel free to dress up and enter into the spirit of
things.
The day will kick off with a Street Party. We will
provide tables and chairs…all you need to do is bring along food and
drink. After lunch, there will be a 1950's style Sports Day at the
Sports and Social Club with events to include the Three Legged race, Egg
and Spoon race, Tug of War etc. We hope to offer entertainment for all
residents in the village with the help and support from some of our
many Sellindge Clubs. Watch this space for further updates on the
forthcoming event.
If anyone from the village is interested in
taking part (singers, musicians, magicians, jugglers etc) or indeed
would like to volunteer their help in organising this event please speak

Sellindge Sports and Social Club will be joining forces with the
Folkestone Sports Centre to arrange a sponsored swim to take place on
Sunday 29th April 2012 at the Folkestone Sports Centre.
If you enjoy swimming and would like to help us raise money for a new set of Football Goal Posts, just print out the Swimming Sponsor Form and bring it along on the day.

All funds raised should be brought to the Clubhouse by 31 May 2012.
